Terms of Use

These terms and conditions govern your use of the "mealmates" service (hereinafter referred to as the "Service") offered by mealmates, Inc. Please read these Terms of Use in their entirety and use the Service only if you agree to and accept these Terms of Use.

Article 1 (Definitions)

 The definitions of terms used in this Agreement are as follows

(1) The Service

The "mealmates" service operated by the Company (if the name or content of the service is changed for any reason, including the service after such change) and related services.

(2) This website

The website on which the contents of the Service are posted.

(3) Contents

The generic term for text, sound, still images, video, software programs, code, etc. (including posted information) provided on the Service.

(4) Users

All persons who use the Service.

(5) Registered Users

Those who have completed user registration on the Site.

(6) ID

A string of characters that a registered user uniquely possesses for the use of the Service.

(7) Password

A cipher set uniquely by the registered user in response to the ID

(8) Personal information

A generic term for information that can identify an individual, such as address, name, occupation, telephone number, etc.

(9) Registration information

A generic term for information registered by a registered user on the Site (excluding posted information).

(10) Intellectual property rights: Patent rights, utility model rights, breeder's rights, design rights, copyrights, trademark rights, and other rights provided by law regarding intellectual property (including the right to acquire such rights or to apply for registration of such rights), or rights pertaining to legally protected interests.

Article 2 (Agreement to these Terms of Use)

1 Users may use the Service upon agreeing to these Terms of Use.

2 A contract of use in accordance with the various provisions of these Terms of Use shall be established between the user and the Company when the user downloads the Service to his/her smartphone or other information terminal and goes through the procedures for agreeing to these Terms of Use.

3. If the User is a minor, the User must obtain the consent of a person with parental authority or other legal representative before using the Service.

4 In the event that a minor user uses the Service by falsely claiming to have the consent of a legal representative without such consent, by falsely claiming to be of legal age, or by using other fraudulent means to make the user believe that he/she is of legal capacity, any and all legal acts related to the Service cannot be revoked. 5. You may not revoke any legal action related to the Service.

5 If a user who was a minor at the time of agreeing to these Terms of Use uses the Service after reaching the age of majority, such user shall be deemed to have ratified all legal acts related to the Service.

Article 3 (Modification of Terms)

1 The Company may revise the Terms of Use at any time without the consent of the user, and the user agrees to accept such revisions without objection.

2 When the Company revises the Terms of Use, it will notify the user of the contents of such revision by the method prescribed by the Company.

3 The revision of the preceding Terms of Use shall take effect from the time the Company gives notice in accordance with the preceding paragraph.

4 Users will be deemed to have agreed to the revised Terms of Service without objection at the time they use the service after the revision of the Terms of Service.

Article 4 (Admission Procedures for Members)

1 Those who wish to join the Service (hereinafter referred to as "prospective registrants") must agree to the Terms of Use and apply for membership in the prescribed manner.

2 The person who has applied for membership will become a registered user upon the Company's acceptance of the application and completion of ID registration.

3 The Company will provide registered users with notification of communication matters, advertisements, and other information through notifications within the application. Please understand this beforehand.

4 The Company may, at its discretion, refuse to accept an application for membership if the applicant falls under any one of the following items.

(i) If the prospective member applies for membership without following the method specified by the Company.

(ii) In the event that the applicant has been previously withdrawn from membership due to violation of these Terms of Use or any other terms of use stipulated by the Company.

(iii) If we deem that the applicant has registered by wrongful means

(iv) When a prospective registrant has registered information that is not his/her own

(v) If the Company deems the applicant to be inappropriate for any other reason

(vi) If the prospective registrant is an anti-social force, etc. (meaning a person who has not been a member of a crime syndicate, a member of a crime syndicate, a quasi-constituent of a crime syndicate, a member of a crime syndicate or a quasi-constituent of a crime syndicate for five years, a company related to a crime syndicate, a general meeting house, a violent crime syndicate or other group or individual who uses violence, force or fraudulent methods to pursue economic gain, or a person who has not been a member of a crime syndicate for five years. Article 5 (Account Management)

1. The user shall manage the information registered for use (hereinafter referred to as "registered information"). 1. Users shall voluntarily register and manage the information they register for use (including e-mail addresses, IDs, passwords, etc.) under their own responsibility. Users shall not allow any third party to use, lend, transfer, change the name of, sell, or otherwise dispose of such information.

2 When the registered information is used for the Service, the Company may treat it as if it were used by the person who registered for the Service, and the person who registered for the Service shall be held responsible for any and all consequences and liabilities arising from such use.

3. In the event that the unauthorized use of registration information causes damage to the Company or a third party, the user shall compensate the Company and the third party for said damage.

4 Users shall manage their registration information under their own responsibility, and the Company shall not be liable for any disadvantage or damage incurred by users due to inaccurate or false registration information.

5. If it is discovered that registration information has been stolen or used by a third party, the user shall immediately notify the Company to that effect and follow the Company's instructions.

Article 6 (Handling of Personal Information, etc.)

Personal information and user information shall be handled appropriately in accordance with the "mealmates Service Privacy Policy" separately set forth by the Company.

Article 7 (Prohibited Acts) 

When using the Service, the Company prohibits the following actions. If the Company deems that a User has violated any of the prohibitions, the Company may temporarily suspend the User's use of the Service, terminate the User's membership, or take any other action deemed necessary by the Company.

(1) Infringement of the intellectual property rights of the Company or a third party

(2) Defaming, disgracing, or unfairly discriminating against or slandering the reputation or credibility of the Company or a third party

(3)Any act that infringes or may infringe the property of the Company or a third party

(4)acts that cause economic damage to the Company or a third party

(5)acts that are threatening to the Company or third parties

(6) Acts that specify or induce computer viruses or harmful programs

(7) Actions that place excessive stress on the infrastructure facilities for this service.

(8) Attacks on our servers, systems, or security.

(9) Attempting to access the Company's service by means other than the interface provided by the Company

(10) Actions in which one user obtains multiple user IDs.

(11) Other than the above, acts that the Company deems inappropriate.

Article 8 (Disclaimer)

1 The Company shall not be liable for any damages caused by changes in content, interruption, or termination of the Service.

2 The Company shall not be involved in, and shall not be liable for, the user's environment for using the Service.

3 The Company makes no warranty that the Service will be suitable for the user's specific purpose, that it will have the expected functions, commercial value, accuracy, or usefulness, that the user's use of the Service will conform to the laws and regulations applicable to the user or internal rules of industry associations, or that defects will not occur. 4. We do not guarantee that the Service will be free from defects.

4. The Company does not guarantee that the Service is compatible with all information terminals, and the user acknowledges in advance that malfunctions may occur in the operation of the Service as a result of OS upgrades, etc. of the information terminal used for use of the Service. The user acknowledges in advance that the Company does not guarantee that the Service is compatible with all information terminals. The Company does not guarantee that such defects will be resolved by the Company's modification of the program, etc. in the event of such defects.

5 Users acknowledge in advance that use of all or part of the Service may be restricted in accordance with changes in the terms of use and operating policies of the AppStore.

6 SOFTBANK TELECOM will not be liable for any direct or indirect damages incurred by the user as a result of using the Service, except in cases where there are reasons attributable to SOFTBANK TELECOM.

7 We shall not be liable for any loss of opportunity, business interruption, or any other damages (including indirect damages and lost profits) incurred by users or other third parties, even if we have been notified of the possibility of such damages in advance.

8 The provisions of Paragraph 1 through the preceding paragraph shall not apply in the event of intentional or gross negligence on the part of the Company or in the event that the contractor falls under the category of consumer under the Consumer Contract Act.

9 Even in cases where the preceding paragraph applies, SBM shall not be liable for any damage caused to the Subscriber due to negligence (excluding gross negligence). 9 Even if the preceding paragraph applies, we shall not be liable to compensate for damages arising from special circumstances among damages incurred by the user due to acts of negligence (excluding gross negligence). 

10 In the event that we are liable for damages in connection with the use of this service, we shall be liable for damages up to the amount of usage received from the user in the month in which the relevant damages occurred.

11 We shall not be liable for any disputes and troubles between users and other users. In the event that a dispute arises between a user and another user, both parties shall be responsible for resolving the dispute and shall not make any claim against the Company.

12. In the event that a user causes damage to another user or a dispute arises with a third party in relation to the use of this service, the user shall compensate for such damage or resolve such dispute at the user's own expense and responsibility, and shall not cause any trouble or damage to the Company. The User shall not cause any inconvenience or damage to the Company.

13 In the event that we receive a claim for damages, etc. from a third party as a result of the user's actions, the user shall resolve such claim at the user's expense (including attorney's fees) and responsibility. In the event that this company pays compensation for damages to said third party, the user shall pay all expenses (including attorney's fees and lost profits) including said compensation for damages to this company.

14 In the event that a user causes damage to the Company in relation to the use of the Service, the user shall compensate the Company for the damage (including legal fees and attorney's fees) at the user's expense and responsibility.

Article 9 (Posting of Advertisements)

The user understands and agrees that the Service may include any and all advertisements, and that the Company or its partners may place any and all advertisements on the Service. The form and scope of advertisements on the Service may be changed by the Company at any time.

Article 10 (Prohibition of Transfer of Rights)

1 Users shall not transfer their positions under the Terms of Use or their rights or obligations under the Terms of Use, in whole or in part, to any third party without the prior written consent of the Company.

2 We may transfer all or part of the Service to a third party at our discretion, in which case all rights of the user pertaining to the Service, including the user's account, shall be transferred to the transferee to the extent of the rights transferred.

Article 11 (Severability)

Even if any provision of these Terms and Conditions or part thereof is determined to be invalid or unenforceable under the Consumer Contract Act or other laws and regulations, the remaining provisions of these Terms and Conditions and the remaining portions of any provision that is determined to be invalid or unenforceable in part shall remain in full force and effect.

Article 12 (Method of Contacting the Company)

Users' communications and inquiries to the Company regarding the Service shall be made via the inquiry form provided in appropriate locations within the Service or the website operated by the Company, or by methods separately designated by the Company.

Article 13 (Governing Law, Court of Jurisdiction)

1 The validity, interpretation, and performance of these Terms of Use shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Japan.

2 The Tokyo Summary Court or the Tokyo District Court shall be the court of exclusive jurisdiction for all controversies, lawsuits, and other disputes between the Company and users, etc., depending on the amount of the suit.

Privacy Policy

This privacy policy sets out how we use and protect the information that we collect, use and disclose about you. (hereinafter referred to as "we", "us", "our", or "our") has established the following privacy policy (hereinafter referred to as "this policy") regarding the handling of personal information of users in the "mealmates" service (hereinafter referred to as "this service") provided by us. This Privacy Policy (hereinafter referred to as the "Policy") is set forth below regarding the handling of personal information of users in the "mealmates" service (hereinafter referred to as the "Service") provided by our company. The following privacy policy (hereinafter referred to as the "Policy") is set forth below.

Article 1 (Personal Information)

Personal information" refers to "personal information" as defined in Article 2, Paragraph 1 of the Personal Information Protection Law, and includes information about living individuals that can identify specific individuals by name, date of birth, address, telephone number, contact information, and other descriptions, as well as data related to appearance, fingerprints, voice prints, and health insurance card insurer numbers. (2) "Personal information" refers to information that can identify a specific individual by itself, such as name, date of birth, address, telephone number, contact information, and other descriptions contained in such information, appearance, fingerprints, voice prints, and health insurance card numbers.

Article 2 (Method of Collecting Personal Information)

We may ask for personal information such as name, date of birth, telephone number, and e-mail address when a user registers for use. In addition, transaction records and payment information, including the user's personal information, between the user and our partners (including information providers, advertisers, and advertisement distributors, etc.; hereinafter referred to as "partners") will be collected by the Company's partners. Article 4 (Change of Purpose of Use)

Article 5 (Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties)

1. Except in the following cases and other cases permitted by law, MISUMI will not provide personal information to any third party without obtaining the prior consent of the user. However, this excludes cases permitted under the Personal Information Protection Law and other laws and regulations.

Article 6 (Disclosure of Personal Information)

If the User's personal information held by the Company is incorrect, the User may request the Company to correct, add, or delete (hereinafter referred to as "correct, etc.") his/her personal information in accordance with procedures determined by the Company. (hereinafter referred to as "Correction, etc.") to MISUMI in accordance with the procedures prescribed by MISUMI.

If we deem it necessary to respond to the request from the user as described in the preceding paragraph, we will make the correction, etc. to the relevant personal information without delay.

In the event that the Company makes corrections, etc. based on the preceding paragraph, or decides not to make such corrections, etc., the Company will notify the User of such decision without delay.

Article 8 (Suspension of Use of Personal Information, etc.)

1. if a user requests that MEDINET stop using or delete (hereinafter referred to as "stop using, etc.") his/her personal information for legal reasons, MEDINET will stop using or delete the personal information without delay. If the person requests us to stop using or erase (hereinafter referred to as "stop using, etc.") his/her personal information for legal reasons, we will conduct the necessary investigation without delay.

If, based on the results of the investigation in the preceding paragraph, we deem it necessary to comply with the request, we will suspend the use of the relevant personal information without delay.

2. In the event of suspension of use, etc. based on the preceding paragraph, or in the event of a decision not to suspend the use of personal information, we will notify the user of this decision without delay.

Notwithstanding the preceding two paragraphs, in the event that the suspension of use involves a large amount of cost or is otherwise difficult to implement, and in the event that alternative measures can be taken to protect the rights and interests of the user, these alternative measures shall be taken.

Article 9 (Changes to Privacy Policy)

The contents of this Privacy Policy may be changed without notice to the User, except as otherwise provided by law or other regulations.

Unless otherwise specified by the Company, the revised Privacy Policy shall take effect from the time it is posted on the Website.

利 用 規 約

























1 利用者は、本利用規約に同意頂いた上で、本サービスを利用できるものとします。

2 利用者が、本サービスをスマートフォンその他の情報端末にダウンロードし、本規約への同意手続を行った時点で、利用者と当社との間で、本規約の諸規定に従った利用契約が成立するものとします。

3 利用者が未成年者である場合には、親権者その他の法定代理人の同意を得たうえで、本サービスをご利用ください。

4 未成年者の利用者が、法定代理人の同意がないにもかかわらず同意があると偽りまたは年齢について成年と偽って本サービスを利用した場合、その他行為能力者であることを信じさせるために詐術を用いた場合、本サービスに関する一切の法律行為を取り消すことは出来ません。

5 本規約の同意時に未成年であった利用者が成年に達した後に本サービスを利用した場合、当該利用者は本サービスに関する一切の法律行為を追認したものとみなされます。


1 当社は、利用者の承諾を得ることなく、いつでも、本規約の内容を改定することができるものとし、利用者はこれを異議なく承諾するものとします。

2 当社は、本規約を改定するときは、その内容について当社所定の方法により利用者に通知します。

3 前本規約の改定の効力は、当社が前項により通知を行った時点から生じるものとします。

4 利用者は、本規約変更後、本サービスを利用した時点で、変更後の本利用規約に異議なく同意したものとみなされます。


1 本サービスへの入会を希望する方(以下「登録希望者」)は、本規約に同意した上で、所定の方法で入会の申込を行ってください。

2 入会の申込をした方は、当社がその申込を承諾し、ID登録が完了した時点から登録利用者となります。

3 当社は、登録利用者向けにアプリ内での通知を通じて連絡事項の告知や広告その他の情報提供を行います。あらかじめご了承ください。

4 当社は、登録希望者が次の各号のいずれか一つに該当する場合は、当社の判断により入会申込を承諾しないことがあります。

一 登録希望者が、当社の定める方法によらず入会の申込を行った場合

二 登録希望者が、過去に本規約または当社の定めるその他の利用規約等に違反したことを理由として退会処分を受けた者である場合

三 登録希望者が、不正な手段をもって登録を行っていると当社が判断した場合

四 登録希望者が、本人以外の情報を登録している場合

五 その他当社が不適切と判断した場合

六 登録希望者が反社会的勢力等(暴力団、暴力団員、暴力団準構成員、暴力団員又は暴力団準構成員でなくなった日から5年を経過しない者、暴力団関係企業、総会屋、社会運動等標ぼうゴロ、特殊知能暴力集団その他暴力、威力又は詐欺的手法を使用して経済的利益を追求する集団又は個人を意味します。以下同じ。)である、又は資金提供その他を通じて反社会的勢力等の維持、運営若しくは経営に協力若しくは関与する等反社会的勢力等との何らかの交流若しくは関与を行っていると当社が判断した場合


1 利用者は、利用に際して登録した情報(以下、「登録情報」といいます。メールアドレスやID・パスワード等を含みます)について、自己の責任の下、任意に登録、管理するものとします。利用者は、これを第三者に利用させ、または貸与、譲渡、名義変更、売買などをしてはならないものとします。

2 当社は、登録情報によって本サービスの利用があった場合、利用登録をおこなった本人が利用したものと扱うことができ、当該利用によって生じた結果ならびにそれに伴う一切の責任については、利用登録を行った本人に帰属するものとします。

3 利用者は、登録情報の不正使用によって当社または第三者に損害が生じた場合、当社および第三者に対して、当該損害を賠償するものとします。

4 登録情報の管理は、利用者が自己の責任の下で行うものとし、登録情報が不正確または虚偽であったために利用者が被った一切の不利益および損害に関して、当社は責任を負わないものとします。

5 登録情報が盗用されまたは第三者に利用されていることが判明した場合、利用者は直ちにその旨を当社に通知するとともに、当社からの指示に従うものとします。

















1 当社は、本サービスの内容変更、中断、終了によって生じたいかなる損害についても、一切責任を負いません。

2 当社は、利用者の本サービスの利用環境について一切関与せず、また一切の責任を負いません。

3 当社は、本サービスが利用者の特定の目的に適合すること、期待する機能・商品的価値・正確性・有用性を有すること、利用者による本サービスの利用が利用者に適用のある法令または業界団体の内部規則等に適合すること、および不具合が生じないことについて、何ら保証するものではありません。

4 当社は、本サービスが全ての情報端末に対応していることを保証するものではなく、本サービスの利用に供する情報端末のOSのバージョンアップ等に伴い、本サービスの動作に不具合が生じる可能性があることにつき、利用者はあらかじめ了承するものとします。当社は、かかる不具合が生じた場合に当社が行うプログラムの修正等により、当該不具合が解消されることを保証するものではありません。

5 利用者は、AppStoreの利用規約および運用方針の変更等に伴い、本サービスの一部又は全部の利用が制限される可能性があることをあらかじめ了承するものとします。

6 当社は、本サービスを利用したことにより直接的または間接的に利用者に発生した損害について、当社の責に帰すべき事由がある場合を除き、一切賠償責任を負いません。

7 当社は、利用者その他の第三者に発生した機会逸失、業務の中断その他いかなる損害(間接損害や逸失利益を含みます)に対して、当社が係る損害の可能性を事前に通知されていたとしても、一切の責任を負いません。

8 第1項乃至前項の規定は、当社に故意または重過失が存する場合又は契約書が消費者契約法上の消費者に該当する場合には適用しません。

9 前項が適用される場合であっても、当社は、過失(重過失を除きます。)による行為によって利用者に生じた損害のうち、特別な事情から生じた損害については、一切賠償する責任を負わないものとします。 

10 本サービスの利用に関し当社が損害賠償責任を負う場合、当該損害が発生した月に利用者から受領した利用額を限度として賠償責任を負うものとします。

11 利用者と他の利用者との間の紛争及びトラブルについて、当社は一切責任を負わないものとします。利用者と他の利用者でトラブルになった場合でも、両者同士の責任で解決するものとし、当社には一切の請求をしないものとします。

12 利用者は、本サービスの利用に関連し、他の利用者に損害を与えた場合または第三者との間に紛争を生じた場合、自己の費用と責任において、かかる損害を賠償またはかかる紛争を解決するものとし、当社には一切の迷惑や損害を与えないものとします。

13 利用者の行為により、第三者から当社が損害賠償等の請求をされた場合には、利用者の費用(弁護士費用を含む)と責任で、これを解決するものとします。当社が、当該第三者に対して、損害賠償金を支払った場合には、利用者は、当社に対して当該損害賠償金を含む一切の費用(弁護士費用及び逸失利益を含む)を支払うものとします。

14 利用者が本サービスの利用に関連して当社に損害を与えた場合、利用者の費用と責任において当社に対して損害を賠償(訴訟費用及び弁護士費用を含む)するものとします。




1 利用者は、予め当社の書面による承諾がない限り、本規約上の地位および本規約に基づく権利または義務の全部または一部を第三者に譲渡してはならないものとします。

2 当社は、本サービスの全部または一部を当社の裁量により第三者に譲渡することができ、その場合、譲渡された権利の範囲内で利用者のアカウントを含む、本サービスに係る利用者の一切の権利が譲渡先に移転するものとします。






1 本規約の有効性,解釈及び履行については,日本法に準拠し,日本法に従って解釈されるものとする。

2 当社と利用者等との間での論議・訴訟その他一切の紛争については、訴額に応じて、東京簡易裁判所又は東京地方裁判所を専属的合意管轄裁判所とします。

(1). 人の生命,身体または財産の保護のために必要がある場合であって,本人の同意を得ることが困難であるとき

(2). 公衆衛生の向上または児童の健全な育成の推進のために特に必要がある場合であって,本人の同意を得ることが困難であるとき

(3). 国の機関もしくは地方公共団体またはその委託を受けた者が法令の定める事務を遂行することに対して協力する必要がある場合であって,本人の同意を得ることにより当該事務の遂行に支障を及ぼすおそれがあるとき

ニ) 本人の求めに応じて個人情報の第三者への提供を停止すること

ホ) 本人の求めを受け付ける方法


(1). 当社が利用目的の達成に必要な範囲内において個人情報の取扱いの全部または一部を委託する場合

(2). 合併その他の事由による事業の承継に伴って個人情報が提供される場合

(3). 個人情報を特定の者との間で共同して利用する場合であって,その旨並びに共同して利用される個人情報の項目,共同して利用する者の範囲,利用する者の利用目的および当該個人情報の管理について責任を有する者の氏名または名称について,あらかじめ本人に通知し,または本人が容易に知り得る状態に置いた場合


1. 当社は,本人から個人情報の開示を求められたときは,本人に対し,当該本人が請求した方法により遅滞なくこれを開示します。ただし,開示することにより次のいずれかに該当する場合は,その全部または一部を開示しないこともあり,開示しない決定をした場合または本人が請求した方法による開示が困難な場合には,その旨を遅滞なく通知します。

(1). 本人または第三者の生命,身体,財産その他の権利利益を害するおそれがある場合

(2). 当社の業務の適正な実施に著しい支障を及ぼすおそれがある場合

(3). その他法令に違反することとなる場合
